from the Power of Waste Resources
Current Governments face enormous costs in providing sustainable waste management services to communities.
Local Governments can now use GS Energy’s economic and environmentally sustainable methodologies and practices to manage waste.
GS Energy uses the latest Australian technology enabling Local Governments to dispose of Municipal Solid and Green Waste as fuel for small to medium scale, 'Waste to Energy' (WtE) stations generating both savings and income for their council and community.
GS Energy’s business plan and strategies reflect the need to provide these and ongoing solutions to Governments.
Generates RENEWABLE ENERGY Use WASTE AS FUEL e.g. industrial, biomass, council, domestic and processed waste REDUCE LANDFILL demand
- Making better use of ratepayers' tip fees
- Saving on power costs
- Reducing future methane productionSEPARATES CARBON as a char by-product GENERATES INCOME from:
- the sale of electricity
- sale of Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGCs)
- sale of other by-productsIs ENVIRONMENTALLY POSITIVE - reduces other greenhouse gas emissionsSupports regional growth and LOCAL JOBS
Expected increase in emission regulationThe implementation of a carbon taxCarbon price set to rise Large reduction in landfill requirementsIncreased community education and concern for the environmentExpected increase in power price Facilitate Government’s leadership for reduced carbon emissions
To maximise Government’s ability to use innovative practices in waste management, GS Energy provides alternatives for organisations to either own a power and waste management station solely, partly own or to contract waste management practices externally to GS Energy.
The following options provide for Governments’ different requirements and benefits:
"External Waste Management Contract” GS Energy would process waste on behalf of the government or business on a fee per tonne basis
“Participate as a Shareholder” participate in ownership and operations of the waste management infrastructure and processes “Organisation Solely Owns and Operates” GS Energy’s - 'WtE' Power and Waste Management Station
